Presenting a solo, incorporating choreography and elements of audience inclusion pulled from “Take This With You,” a performance installation taking place several weeks before.
Performing in a trio, “The Convoluted Love Ballad of V______” choreographed by Aileen Norris.
Be My Guest (Performer) is a dance performance as well as an experiment in audience inclusivity. In an attempt to shift the spectator experience, Alexandra Barbier will perform choreography while also leading the audience through various prompts and activities, with hopes that providing moments of choice and inclusivity gives attendees a sense of agency to witness the performance in a way that’s engaging and interesting to them.
(If participation/interaction turns you off, you can opt out of that part and still enjoy a multi-disciplinary art experience)
